CHANDRASHILA TREKKING
Chandrashila is the summit above Tungnath temple in India. It literally means “Moon Rock”. It is located at a height of about 3,690 metres (12,110 ft) above sea level. This peak provides views of the Himalayas, including Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba peaks. Chandrashila treks are one of the most popular treks among Indian trekking enthusiasts. The trek to the peak is 5 km. The trek route that starts from Chopta takes one to Tungnath (highest Shiva temple in the world), from here it is a kilometre long, and a steep trek. Though shorter in distance, steep climbing makes this trek rigorous.
This trek is undertaken throughout the year although during the winter season due to snowfall this trek becomes hard as road to Chopta is closed. Trekkers use a different route during this period (Deoria Tal – Duggalbitta – Tungnath – Chandrashila).

TUNGNATH TREKKING
Tungnath is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar temples located in the Rudraprayag district, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Tungnath (literal meaning: Lord of the peaks) mountains form the Mandakini and Alaknanda river valleys. It is located at an altitude of 3,690 m (12,106 ft), and just below the peak of Chandrashila. It has a rich legend linked to the Pandavas, heroes of the Mahabharata epic. Climate is generally cool throughout the year. Summers are pleasant with average temperature hovering around 16 degrees Celsius during the day time. Winters are very chilly and temperature drops below the freezing point very frequently. The best time to visit the temple is from April to September. Due to heavy snowfall, the Tungnath Temple remains closed for around 6 months during winter.

BITHARKANIKA NARIONAL PARK
Bhitarkanika National Park is a 145 km2 (56 sq mi) large national park in northeast Kendrapara district in Odisha in eastern India.
It is a very good place to sight the giant Salt Water Crocodile, some growing to 23 feet in length, along with other reptiles like the Water Monitor Lizard and the King Cobra. Spotted deers and wild boars are abundant in the park and can be spotted at all the major locations. Eight varieties of Kingfishers are found here and can be spotted along the many creeks and riverine within the park.The boat ride from Khola to Dangmal or vice versa is highly recommended. Khola is one of the gateways into the park. This is along an artificial creek and it passes through dense mangrove forest providing a glimpse into the estuarine ecosystem and its wealth of fauna. The best time to travel through this creek is early morning or before sunset.

DUDHARI (Waterfront)
It’s one of the best place of Koraput for picnics, trekking ,swimming and if you want to spend some times with nature. Dudhari village is located in Semiliguda Tehsil of Koraput district in Odisha, India. It is situated 10km away from sub-district headquarter and 32km away from district headquarter Koraput. The waterfront is 2-4km away from Dudhari village.

KALYA MALI (Mountain)
Kalia Mali (1 548m/5 079ft a.s.l.) is a mountain in the Eastern Ghats in India. The prominence is 399m/1 309ft. By elevation Kalia Mali is The 4th highest peak of Odisha and best place for mountaineering, trekking and night camping ,also the best place to enjoy the night camping with star, sunrise and sunset view at its best. This place is best for adventure lovers.

DEOMALI (Mountain)
Deomali Peak, with an elevation of about 1,672 m, is the highest peak in the state of Odisha. It is situated near Doodhari village, Pottangi Panchayat division which is about 70 km from Koraput via Semiliguda. Deomali is dotted with brooks and deep valleys, and inhabited by tribes such Kandhas, Parajas, Bhumia, Malis and Bhotias. It is not only a marvel for the tourists but also to the adventurous sports lovers for hang gliding, mountaineering and trekking.

RANI DUDUMA (Waterfall)
Rani Duduma waterfall is located at the top of the Nandapur Hill and is just 3 km from Nandapur Village. It is about 26 km away from Semiliguda and a 45 km distance from Koraput Town. To get to the waterfall, you have to walk about 1 km along the river. Many tourists come here for winter picnics. The waterfall is surrounded by dense and thick forest attract thousands of visitors. Rani Duduma fall is a top tourist attraction and the best place to visit in the Koraput district.

GUPTESWAR (Cave/Temple)
Gupteswar nestles on a lush green hill, 58 K.m from Jeypore, and 80 Kms away from Koraput, amidst deep forest. The cave is a multi Chambered wonder, Gupteswar is also Popularly known as Gupta Kedra Shabari a Rocky Stream of great Scenic Beauty Flows by Gupteswar. It is believed that Lord Rama when the passed through this region on his way to Panchabati in Dandaka-ranya. The heavily wooded valley all around is a heaven for the adventure loners.

TALAMITING (Waterfall)
Talamiting village is located in Kakiriguma tehsil of Koraput district in Odisha, India. It is situated 28km away from sub-district headquarter Kakiriguma (tehsildar office) and 50km away from district headquarter Koraput Explore the hidden natural infinity pool of Koraput which is almost 1km from TALAMITING village. You will reach the waterfall area by trekking through forest and trust me you will love the time spent here with friends. The waterfall is one of the best place to take swimming.

MACHHKUND (Duduma Waterfall)
175 metres (574 ft) in height and is formed by the Machkund river. It has two sub-waterfalls, one on the Odisha side and the other on the Andhra Pradesh side.Duduma is about 92 km from Koraput and about 177 km from Visakhapatnam.Machhakund (Duduma) Hydroelectric Project is located near Duduma Falls.It is a collaborative project between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Government of Odisha. The project, consisting of 6 units, has an installed capacity of 120 MW.

BALDA (Cave)
Balda Cave situated 66 Kms away from Koraput. Surrounding with natural beauty. The top of the mountain plateau is flat one. 05 nos of football matches can be played at a time. The Jalaput reservoir from this plateau is enchanting one. Donger Dei is the main deity of the cave worship by the local people during Chaitra Festival. It is best place for picnic, trekking and place for nature lover. You must visit this place during chaitra festival to enjoy and exprience local tradition and culture.
